The 5th Workshop on Industry 4.0 and HCI is an academic event focused on research, development, and innovation in Human-Computer Interaction applied to Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0. Technological development is driving the 4th Industrial Revolution, in which advances in computing, increased processing capacity and speed, as well as multiple interconnected devices directly impact production methods, becoming the driving force behind digital transformation in companies and organizations in general. At the center of this revolution are human beings capable of operating technology to generate value and increase productivity. For this reason, the workshop seeks to bring together researchers, students, and professionals interested in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of products or processes that, from a human-computer interaction perspective, contribute to digital transformation with the aim of improving people’s quality of life.

The main objectives of the 5WI4.0 are:

  • Promote and foster multidisciplinary collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and shared experiences among specialists from different disciplinary areas that contribute to productive development and digital transformation, with human-technology interaction as the core focus.
  • Disseminate and present recent research results and technological development advances in the field of Industry 4.0.
  • Explore new technological trends and address emerging topics applied to industry.
  • Establish collaborative links among professionals, academia, industry, and/or government.
